Family Shoot up Saddle Road | Lava + Palm Trees | Mauna Lani Beach
Big Island, Hawaii
We started up Saddle Road in Kamuela and were trying to beat the rain! It was so pretty up there because of the overcast, I loved it! We got some awesome candids and sweet photos together. They were so relaxed and fun, and I loved their dynamic, and getting to know their family. It did start to drizzle though, so we started driving to our second location, and I noticed it stopped raining, so we just pulled over and jumped out and finished the grassy photos there until the rain caught up with us again! Then we were driving again and saw a GIANT VIBRANT RAINBOW! So of course we pulled over instantly and took photos until it faded!
Next location was the lava field with the palm trees. This is a spot I have wanted to shoot at for a LONG time. We got some lava rock vibe inspired shots and I think they pretty rad.
The end location was the beach at Mauna Lani. There were no people out there and we were able to play with lighting and shadows and end with lots of snuggling and watching the sunset.
